This is one of a series of interviews completed by the Milton Historical Society (http://miltonhistoricalsociety.ca) as part of the production of the book "Milton Remembers WWII 1939-1945". Several veterans of Milton and the surrounding community were interviewed by MHS staff to document their experiences in Milton, their service to Canada in WWII and the impact that this had on their life. This is the interview of Mike Ledwith who served with the Royal Canadian Navy and the British Royal Navy in England. Although destined to serve in the Far East the war ended before his tour of duty began. The interview was conducted by Ken Lamb, probably in the fall of 1993.
For further information on the men and women of Milton Ontario Canada who served in the Canadian Armed Forces, please refer to the Milton Historical Society web site at http://miltonhistoricalsociety.ca/miltonsoldiers/, or contact the MHS at email@example.com as required. The audio tapes are held in the MHS Archives at 16 James Street, Milton Ontario Canada L9T 2P4.
Although there is no date for this recordifg in the files, the majority of this series of interviews were completed in the Fall of 1993.
